The city of Vannes in southern Brittany worked in consultation with Proludic to design and build a large inclusive and accessible play area that can be enjoyed by everyone.
There are 24 items of play equipment with over 50 play activities where children that experience motor, hearing, sight or intellectual disabilities can play side by side with family and friends.
The playground comprises three zones for three different age groups set around a central meeting place where 3.6 metre high sculptural flowers delight people with their cheerful presence and light effects.
A sensory trail links the three different zones. Unitary surfacing facilitates ease of movement throughout the play area and identifies the play zones.
