Beerwah’s much-loved Turner Park has been revitalised with a uniquely designed playground for children of all ages featuring an exciting 8.7 metre high multi-level Kanopé Tree Tower to challenge older children. The town’s fruit farming history is recognised in the toddler’s play area.
Proludic was engaged by Sunshine Coast Council to design and construct a unique playspace for Turner Park in Beerwah, a town located just north of the Glasshouse Mountains. A playground that combined standard and custom play equipment telling a story about Beerwah, integrating well into the parkland setting, and providing play opportunities for children of all ages was required.
Our custom Kanopé Tree Tower from Proludic’s award-winning range of nature-inspired play equipment provided the perfect solution to meet the clients’ design aspirations. Nestled amongst the beautiful large trees of Turner Park, the Tower is a wonderful setting for active play where little adventurers tackle the heights to reach the summit of the ‘tree tower’. On reaching the top children are rewarded with an exhilarating ride on the spiral tube slide down to the bottom where they can begin the climbing adventure again!
The fruit farming history of Beerwah is commemorated in the Toddler’s play area by a Diabolo “Farm” Multiplay (J3873-C), and custom items enhanced with bespoke artwork utilising Proludic’s award-winning “Grafic Games” technique – the “Beerwah Fruit Cart” (J2614) and “Beerwah Fruit Barn” (J283). The custom Watermelon Springer is an inclusive item ideal for group play. The play equipment is the perfect setting for “shops” and “driving” encouraging role play and imaginative play. Additional play items including a Cableway (J514), Inclusive accessible Carousel (J2409) and a Double-bay swing set with a selection of seats (J496) provide children with more dynamic and adventurous play activities!
