Celebrating the Power of Play for Every Child!
It’s official! The 11th of June 2024 marked the first International Day of Play. A global initiative dedicated to celebrating and raising awareness about the crucial role of play in children’s development and well-being.
At Proludic, every day is filled with play, and we are thrilled that there is now an official “Day of Play.” Hurray! This special day serves as a reminder that every child has the right to play. And should have the opportunity to enjoy it fully.
Why is play so important?
Play is not only a fun activity; it is fundamental to children’s development. Through play, children gain physical, intellectual, social and emotional skills. They develop resilience, make connections with others and explore creativity. These powerful learning opportunities are essential for their growth and overall well-being.
Celebrate Play Time, c’mon!
To mark this significant day, people worldwide hold national events and online activities. Families and communities actively engage in playful activities and share their experiences to highlight the importance of play. Whether through local community events or social media, every effort counts. Raising awareness and advocating for children’s right to play is an everyday task.
How do we support play?
We at Proludic are passionate about ensuring communities all around Australia have access to fun, safe, and inclusive playspaces where children, teenagers, and adults can thrive.
We will continue spreading the word about the power of play. Hopefully there will be more “Play for everyone” in the future.
