Kelly Park Playground features an exciting Adventure Tower, a Double Cableway, a toddler zone, inclusive play equipment and nature play elements for children of all ages and abilities to enjoy! The playground was designed after extensive consultation with Carey Park Primary School Students and local park users.

“Landscape and Open Space Manager Kristy Tillett said Carey Park Primary School students indicated their preference for a mix of colourful, modern designs but with an emphasis on nature play and natural elements.” “The students also wanted to make sure it was accessible for all playground users.” Read more here.

Once all parties had their say, the City’s Landscape and Open Space team worked in collaboration with Proludic to design the new playground. Kelly Park Playground was officially opened in July 2018 and includes the following Proludic play equipment:

  • J47200-P Adventure Tower with high tube slide and small open Kayak slide
  • Z18-3901 Custom Tiboo Multi-Play with shop counter
  • J512 Double Steel Cableway (Flying Fox)
  • J2409 Inclusive wheelchair accessible Carousel
  • J3410 Tubophone (Talk Tubes)
  • J491 Origin’ Pod Swing
  • Z18-0403 Custom Origin’ Swing

Paul D’Vorak who recently visited the playground with his family made the following comments: “I took the family to the Kelly Park playground last week. I can relate to some peoples concerns with accessible parking, however the playground itself was brilliant. Plenty of equipment for toddlers given the size of the park and I could get close enough to all of the toddler equipment to feel included.”
