Barossa Adventure Station at Angaston has won the following awards:

  • South Australia’s Park of the Year at the Parks and Leisure Australia SA/NT 2021 Awards of Excellence
  • AILA Landscape Architecture Award in the Tourism category of the SA Chapter awards
  • AILA National Regional Achievement Award  in the Regional Achievement category

“Council’s nomination focused on the clever integration of heritage, open space, adventure play, natural landscape, events spaces and community connection points at the site. Restoring the heritage railway station building and adaptively reusing railway elements was also a key feature of the redevelopment.”
