Redland City Council started upgrades on the Thornlands Community Park in 2020 to provide a major play area with activities for all ages and abilities. The second stage of works was undertaken in 2021 and included the implementation of an agricultural-themed playspace located within the existing play area, celebrating the site’s heritage.

Proludic collaborated with Council’s landscape architect on the bespoke design of a customised sculptural play structure to reflect the agricultural theme and provide more climbing and balancing opportunities for younger children. The resulting playful structure was inspired by our award-winning Kanopé range, and is a fun adventure trail featuring curved lines, organic shapes, rope nets and leaf elements.

In addition, other play elements provided by Proludic includes stainless steel mound tube rails, an embankment climbing rope and hand holds for one of the climbing mounds.

Thornlands Community Park also features outdoor fitness areas, picnic facilities and seating for the whole community to enjoy.
