Percussion Play Papilio Bells outdoor musical instrument
Papilio Bells

Music has been part of human culture since… forever. Across cultures and throughout history, music has been used for communication, expression, connection, and healing. It has a unique ability to bring people together and foster social connection. This is one of many reasons why we love including musical instruments in our playground designs. To offer a truly musical experience, we have partnered with Percussion Play to bring world-class outdoor musical instruments to Australia!

Harmonious benefits

Musical play provides many benefits for children, ranging from promoting physical activity and social interaction to fostering creativity and cognitive development. Listening to calming music or engaging in musical activities such as playing an instrument also promotes relaxation, lowers anxiety levels, and reduces the physical symptoms of stress.

Music outdoors lifts the spirit of seniors

Providing communal outdoor music spaces fosters positive interactions and prevents social isolation that many seniors experience. Making music in a group is very powerful and forms deep connections, relaxes our mind, and energises our bodies. It also keeps the brain engaged, facilitates cognitive function and coordinates motor movements. Music is like medicine and can even help with pain management.
