A study undertaken by Camden Council has found there are more 12 to 17-year-olds in Mt Annan than any other suburb in the Macarthur region. This study identified the need for the development of a multipurpose outdoor youth space with larger adventure playgrounds to meet the needs of 12-17 year olds in the Camden LGA, as one of the top ten priorities. The location of this facility was decided owing to the growing youth population located in and around this area.
Proludic was proud to contribute to this large-scale project by providing the main feature of the playground: a custom Tower combined with a large Net Pyramid. Children have access to the exciting 4m high Proludic Tower and its 3m high tube slide via a bridge linked to an impressive 8.70m high Dynamo Galaxy Net climbing structure. The fun continues as a second bridge attached to the other end of the Pyramid leads to a Double metal Cableway! Proludic provided more exciting and challenging play equipment for older children such as the Skysurf, Rodeoboard and Hip Hop. Equipment for younger children includes a Proludic Hexagonal Swing, an Infinity Bowl and a Dynamo Biggo Trovni Swing.
The park also includes a play area dedicated to young children where Proludic provided a Metropolis-themed playground which includes Tema Metropolis multi-play unit, Space Bike Springer, Grafic Games Jet, Dragster, Climbing Hut, Basket Swing and Swingset.
The parks also includes an outdoor table tennis area and two fenced multipurpose courts line-marked for basketball and football.
The Grand Opening of the park which took place on May 21st was a real success with hundreds of children playing on the equipment all day long and even queuing to have a go on their favourite Proludic pieces!
