Hudson can’t walk but he can maneuver his wheelchair! He recently tested Variety Livvi’s Place Lt Cantello Reserve Inclusive Playground for us. His first words were: “I am here to play!” and he meant it. Read the feedback his mum Dorothy shared with us:

Hudson had a blast at the playground especially as he was able to independently drive his wheelchair around and engage with the play equipment. Hudson loved being able to jump on the trampoline, use the seesaw and the carousel whilst sitting in his wheelchair.

The wide and open spaces between equipment and the rubber flooring allowed Hudson to manoeuvre around the playground freely and with ease. The variety of play equipment that he could use while sitting in his wheelchair such as the trampoline, the seesaw, the carousel as well as the musical instruments helped Hudson to feel included and have limitless fun.

The colours were vibrant and energising and it was also nice to see a mix of wooden/natural materials. There was plenty of seating areas for parents to sit and chat while the kids played.

All of it was amazing! The wheelchair enabled trampoline, see saw and carousel were particularly fun as Hudson was able to use the equipment independently without having to sit on mum or dad. Hudson also loved racing his wheelchair down the concrete  ramp / path leading up to the slide as it gave him a similar thrill to going down the slide. Although, the wide slide was equally fun! Hudson also loved the instruments as he is very musical and again was able to play whilst in his chair.
