The junior play area at Grahame Stewart Park has been upgraded to provide much better public play facilities that enable children with special needs to have fun and play alongside their siblings and friends. The playground features attractive, inclusive, accessible and sensory Proludic play equipment, along with a refurbished existing play train.
Our inclusively designed Vivarea Multiplay (J33108) features many play activities on both the inside and the outside of the equipment, that help with the development of children’s motor skills and cognitive abilities whilst also providing sensory stimulation. Accessibility for all children to the heart of the structure is enabled by the presence of a ramp, large platforms and a wide staircase.
Sensory play environments are crucial to a child’s development, and moving and spinning play equipment provides great levels of sensory and motor stimulation for all children. Proludic’s popular Pod Swing (J441) has a large pod seat that provides a comfortable, supportive surface for swinging in a lying or seated position. Additional inclusive play equipment includes the Face-to-Face springer (J858), Playhouse, the Sand Sieve (J123) and Sand Digger (J5014), the Wheelspin, the Maze (J3404) and Flipper (J3405) play panels.
The installation of pathways, accessible rubber surfacing, shade and seating has also been carefully considered to allow for easy access to the play equipment, and to provide a safe and comfortable place for everyone to play and relax together.
